StitchLog is a mobile app for tracking your knitting and crochet projects. Our core principle is simple: your data stays on your device. StitchLog does not require an account, and we as the developer do not collect, store, or share your personal data.
Everything you create in the app lives only in your phone's storage:
None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party. Deleting the app deletes this data from your device. If you use the export (backup) feature, you fully control where the resulting file is saved and who it is shared with.
The voice-counting feature runs speech recognition entirely on your device (offline). Your audio is never sent to any server and is not stored. The microphone is used only while you have this feature turned on.
Premium subscription payments are processed by Google Play; your payment details never reach us. To validate your subscription status we use RevenueCat. For this purpose RevenueCat processes a randomly generated anonymous app user ID and your purchase history (product, date, renewal state); it does not receive your name, email, or payment details. See the Google Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
If you choose to link your Ravelry account, the app connects directly from your device to the Ravelry API to access your pattern library. Your access token is stored only on your device. Data shared with Ravelry is governed by the Ravelry Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time in the app settings.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device; the home-screen widget displays only on-device counter data. Neither uses an internet connection.
StitchLog is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them (we collect data from no one).
Because your data lives on your device, you are its sole owner and controller: you can view, export, or delete it in the app at any time. For questions under GDPR or other privacy laws, contact us.
If this policy changes (for example, if a new feature requires data processing), we will update this page and its effective date, and announce significant changes in the app.
